My Journey
As I ventured through my house to scavenge for these amazingly beautiful photos, I came to the realization that I experienced nothing other than being grumpy because I hadn't eaten all day.  However, the one thing I did realize is that my house is infested with letters that spell out my name? Coincidence? Maybe or maybe I decorated my home like that on purpose. I wish I could tell you that I actually experienced something but that would be a lie and I don't want to lie to you, Daria is saying this is rude AU CONTRAIRE, HONESTY IS THE BEST POLICY. I love you Ms. Zanini :) Just to make it super clear I don't mean to sound rude I just honestly don't believe that you're meant to have an epiphany when searching for shapes that form your name, also I barely read anymore so I haven't had profound thoughts recently. Nevertheless, I did enjoy making this because it's really cool how Mick Jagger's face is so beautiful. Don't take this as a "Oh no maybe I should stop giving this assignment to my students" because that's not the case, it gave me a chance to learn to work with photoshop and it actually is really fun. I hope you enjoyed this post guys and gals. Until next time, bang.;):):)
Disclaimer: I do realize that the A in my last name looks staged, do not be fooled, it is only an illusion. I did find those beauty items exactly the way I photographed them, laughing my A off.

David Bailey Boys and Girls

"I've always tried to do pictures that don't date. I always go for simplicity"
David Bailey, a photographer that makes me want to time-travel back to the 60's and break his camera on account of how annoyingly nice his photos are. Maybe it's just me, but his photos gorgeous and make me want to hop in and hang out with these mysterious looking people. Everybody just seems so aloof, cool, and ready to read me a nice smart story while smoking their cigarettes and wearing their snazzy suits. I'm infatuated with the big stars, as you can see my first choice of photos were that of Micheal Caine and Mick Jagger, but it doesn't mean I chose Bailey because of it. Bailey's archive is really amazing and gave me the urge to buy a giant book of pin-ups and hang them all around my room, which is exactly what I did. Now I know he's not recreating phenomenons and bleaching his eyebrows but come off he's amazing! Like most photographers, he photographed models, places, celebrities, all the way down to suspected mob bosses, and he did it well. His photos were modest and were the epitome of simplicity. He inspires me to shoot extremely simple yet punishing photos, which is why i'm afraid i'm going to have to stick to film for this course because of the authenticity of a roll of film, don't fret though maybe i'll change my mind, but don''t hold your breathe. I chose David Bailey to be the first post of my very own blog.
